Microsoft Patch for Protected Store Vulnerability

Microsoft has released a patch to fix a vulnerability in Windows 2000 that would allow a malicious user to "compromise sensitive data belonging to a Windows 2000 user" due to Windows storing the data with a weaker encryption than it should. According to the Microsoft FAQ concerning the issue "It would not be a simple feat" but a user could obtain sensitive information from the computer.
