Apple devices can be literal life-savers. For instance, in an emergency, you can call 911 with an iPhone to summon help. Not to mention, there have been documented cases of Apple Watch detecting undiagnosed medical conditions. People ultimately go to the doctor to follow-up, and as a result, it ends up saving their lives.

As great as Apple devices are, they can also sometimes kill you. Like, seriously, some Apple products can possibly end your life -- if you have certain medical devices, that is, such as a pacemaker. The transition to PCIe 4.0 is undoubtedly in full effect, with more and more computers and motherboards having the new standard. Whether or not the user truly needs the benefits of PCIe 4.0 is debatable, but it is still cool regardless. After all, it is important to continually push boundaries.

If you want the absolute best tablet computing experience, you have to get an iPad. Are there good Android tablets? Sure, but iPad is simply better than them all. There's a reason the Android tablet market has largely dried up -- consumers don't really care about them. Trust me, y'all; Apple created magic with the iPad.

While iPad can technically serve as someone's only computer without any added accessories, it does shine when you connect it to a keyboard case -- particularly one with a trackpad. With one of these cases, you essentially turn the iPad into a makeshift laptop. Like Microsoft's Surface Pro tablets, however, balancing the kickstand on your actual lap while typing on the keyboard might be a bit frustrating.

Blender is one of the most important open source projects, as the 3D graphics application suite is used by countless people at home, for business, and in education. The software can be used on many platforms, such as Windows, Mac, and of course, Linux.

Today, Ubuntu-maker Canonical announces it will offer paid enterprise support for Blender LTS. How cool is that? Surprisingly, this support will not only be for Ubuntu users. Heck, it isn't even limited to Linux installations. Actually, Canonical will offer this support to Blender LTS users on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Wow!

Thunderbolt 3 has been such a game-changer for consumers that enjoy turning their laptops into makeshift desktops. It is so empowering to connect a thin and light laptop to a big monitor, keyboard, and mouse with just a single wire. It is both convenient and elegant, and quite frankly, I personally love it.

Chromebooks have been gaining in popularity lately, and it isn't hard to see why. As more and more people do their computing almost exclusively on the web, it makes no sense to spend big money on a Windows laptop you don't really need. Don't get me wrong, Windows definitely still has a place, and Microsoft's operating system is currently more useful than Chrome OS, but it simply overkill for many. Chromebooks are simple, safe, and getting better all the time. Google is giving the people what they want.

While Chromebooks don't typically have the most exciting hardware, there are some powerful models on the market. Today, Samsung shares details about an all-new 14-inch Chrome OS laptop, but sadly, it not at all exciting. In fact, is rather ho-hum. Called "Galaxy Chromebook Go," it is powered by a fairly anemic Intel Celeron processor. The screen resolution is an embarrassing 1366x768. Worst of all, it uses sluggish eMMC for storage, and the base model has a paltry 4GB of RAM.

Pink has traditionally been a color for girls and women -- at least here in the United States. Of course, just because it is tradition, that doesn't mean it is set in stone. These days, anybody can proudly wear the color pink -- regardless of gender -- and rightfully so. If you like the color pink, nobody should make you feel bad about that.

Windows 11 may be the name of the upcoming version of Microsoft's desktop operating system, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the number ten. For instance, one of the most popular Linux distributions, Debian, currently sits at version 10 (Code-named "Buster").

Actually, taking the number ten even further, Debian 10.10 is now available for download. Yes, this is the tenth point release of the tenth version of the wildly popular operating system. Those that believe in numerology may see significance in this versioning. Current Debian users should update their packages immediately, as 10.10 is chock full of important bug fixes and security updates.

Every once in a while, a manufacturer will release a memory card that is branded for gaming. Consumers often wonder if there is anything different about these cards that will truly benefit gamers. The answer is largely no. A storage card that is designed for gaming is really just marketing hype. Sorry, but it's true.

With all of that said, today, Silicon Power launches what it calls a "Superior Gaming" microSDXC card. While it is intended to be used for the Nintendo Switch, it should also be a good choice for mobile gamers using an Android phone or tablet. Over the years, many new tech brands have come along, largely thanks to Amazon. Yes, consumers have discovered a lot of brands on that website, one of which is Tronsmart. This is a company I first discovered through Amazon, usually from taking a chance on one of its affordable Bluetooth speakers or headphones. Over time, I learned that Tronsmart products weren't just reasonably priced, but high-quality too. Seriously, folks, its Bluetooth speakers (found here) are superb.

I suppose Tronsmart isn't so new anymore, as this week the reputable brand has an 8th birthday! Jeez, the company was founded in 2013? Time really flies! Last year, Apple released new Mac computers powered by the company's own M1 processors. Not only were there new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops, but a new Mac mini desktop as well. More recently, Apple released a new M1-powered iMac too. I was fascinated by the new Apple Silicon processors, so earlier this year, I bought my very own Mac mini. Guess what? It is a phenomenal computer that I love very much so far.

The problem with the Mac mini, however, is it doesn't come with a keyboard or mouse. This is by design, as Apple hopes Windows users will replace their current desktops with the little Mac -- simply reusing existing keyboards, mice, and monitors. Unfortunately, a Windows keyboard is not ideal for a Mac. Will it work? Yes, but it doesn't have the exact same keys, such as "COMMAND." And so, Mac mini buyers would be wise to buy a Mac keyboard.

When you need a true professional Windows laptop, I know there are many makes and models to consider, but I urge you to take a look at Dynabook. That company's Tecra line in particular is a well-balanced blend of power, durability, and elegance. These productivity workhorses never disappoint, and in my experience, they last a very long time.

Today, Dynabook unveils its 2021 Tecra A Windows 10 laptops -- the 14-inch Tecra A40-J and 15-inch Tecra A50-J. Other than screen and body size differences, the A40-J can be equipped with a touchscreen while the A50-J cannot. Meanwhile, the A50-J keyboard has a number pad, while the A40-J does not. They both have Wi-Fi 6, dual Thunderbolt 4, dual USB-A, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro SD card reader.
