Windows 2000 Datacenter Server Ships
Microsoft today released to manufacturing the high-end Windows 2000, dubbed 'Datacenter Server.' 3Com Wireless Network Beta Test
UPDATE - This test is now closed, good luck to all of you who applied! 3Com has a brief opening for their home wireless gateway test. ADSL or Cable is required, and a broadband connection using PPPoE is highly desired. In addition, testers will need at least one desktop and laptop running Windows 98/NT/2000 to test with.

Another MP3 Search Falls
Nullsoft, Inc., maker of the popular Winamp digital music player, today removed its popular MP3 search engine. The move comes just a day after an article noted the AOL-owned company was remaining aggressive despite recent litigation against sites like MP3Board for linking to illegal MP3s. According to sources, word came from the top to remove the search, which was launched not too long ago on the main Winamp.com page.
Sponsored by Inktomi, Nullsoft's MP3 search became popular due to its reliable download links and non-FTP nature. AOL had the technology lying around and the Nullsoft Team decided to make good use of it with the consent of their parent company.

Napster warned such an action would mean an end to the company. The RIAA responded to the motion, stating "given Napster’s explosive, unprecedented growth, that harm will increase dramatically if the district court’s order is stayed." Napster was poised to shut down it's servers at midnight tonight. Download Napster and Napigator from FileForum.
