Network Associates Break Up

Two years after an aggressive $2.5 billion, 10 company acquisition run, Network Associates Inc. has announced that it will be dividing the company into several smaller companies to better handle its Internet and software sides of business. It will be split into six units including McAfee Inc. and PGP Security Inc. The four major software units will report to Peter Watkins, the new President of Network Associates Inc.
