GoTo.com Injunction Held Up in Court Today

Stating that GoTo.com "demonstrated that it is likely to succeed on the merits of its claim," a judge today upheld the injunction placed on Walt Disney earlier this year, barring it from using the Go.com logo on their website and television commercials. Claiming trademark infringement against Walt Disney, GoTo.com is seeking millions in damages and a permanent ban on the use of the Go.com logo. The logo was replaced this morning as Disney announced a new strategy to focus their web presence more on the entertainment aspect of the company. Damages could rise in the case, considering Disney was allowed to continue the use of the logo for two extra months. More to come on this impending trial.
