Microsoft Makes Special Offers Through Global Partners
Microsoft is now offering several special deals to consumers who run Windows 2000. Through its Global Partners program, Microsoft Corporation is offering giveaways and special deals on software and other products optimized for use with Windows 2000. With the official Windows 2000 launch today, Microsoft has posted three such deals with those partners, which include Adobe, IBM, HP, and Unisys Corporation.
Adobe, in celebration of the launch of Windows 2000, is offering consumers the opportunity to purchase Adobe GoLive 4.0 along with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects 4.1, or Adobe Premiere 5.1, for the price of $699. To celebrate Windows 2000, IBM will be giving away 64MB of extra SDRAM to any customer purchasing an IBM Thinkpad 2626L2U, 26458PU, or 26459FU before February 29th. They will also give customers purchasing an IBM 300 GL Desktop model numbers 65659CU, 65639FU, and 6564SUU a free 17" monitor, if purchased before February 29th. HP is having a monster giveaway to promote the launch of Windows 2000. The company will be giving away an HP OpenView Express Multi-Media Demo CD to the first 5,000 registrants whose business is planning on deploying Windows 2000 to 500 or more users, and the business is located in the US or Canada.
